$18 Million IMPACT Project to Commence Soon in Bauchi.

Bauchi State Government has assured that the eighteen million Dollar World Bank health project, Immunization Plus and Malaria Progress by Accelerating Coverage and Transforming Services, IMPACT, will soon take off in the state.
The Executive Chairman of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency Dr Rilwanu Mohammed who gave the assurance during an interview with newsmen said Bauchi was second among the first five states to have fulfilled all the needed requirements for the project to commence implementation.
Dr Rilwanu Mohammed explained that there are twelve states across the country selected to benefit from the project.
According to the Executive Chairman, the IMPACT project, unlike the just concluded NSHIP, is going to be implemented in all the twenty local government areas of the state.
Dr Mohammed who commended the state governor for his passion in the health sector urged people of the state to complement the effort by supporting the IMPACT project towards achieving success.
Radio Nigeria learnt that the Steering Committee for the project would be inaugurated this Tuesday.
