SON To Partner Bauchi Government to provide ISO Management Training.

Bauchi State Governor Bala has called on the Standard Organization of Nigeria SON to introduce robust policies that will Standardized the operations of local industries to meet the global best practice.

He made the call while receiving the management of the Organization led by the Director General Faruq Salim in Government House Bauchi

“Our middle label manpower entrepreneurs have died because of poverty,we use to have small scale industries sprouts everywhere in the zone and the country. but you re challenge on how to bring them back.

Bala Mohammed who emphasized the need for Nigeria to leverage on the potential of agriculture explained that opening new frontiers within the Agricultural Value Chain will make the country’s product exportable.

The Governor announced the donation of two operational vehicles to the Organization to ease their transportation challenges especilly in monitoring activities of small and medium industries

Earlier, the Director General of Organization Faruq Salim said the SON is determined to work with government at all levels in setting standard for effective operation in all the local industries.

“Our organization as you know the standard organization of Nigeria we help set the standard and then we help the small scale and medium industries to organise their business,organise their products facilities,label their products.

Standardized products is very important considering African continental free trade agreement recently signed in the country,which means products from Niger,Togo Benin republic as far away South Africa can come in this country without any serious checks.

The Director General said they were in the state to intimate the governor on their activities with a view to solicit his support towards achieving the desired goals.
