Kaduna State Peace Commission appeals for calm over the unfortunate incidence of Tudun Biri Village

Kaduna State Peace Commission says there are ongoing efforts by the government to provide the best medical care to the injured people of Tudun Biri Village in igabi Local government area of the state and appel for calm at his trial moment.
The Executive Vice Chairman of the Commission, Dr Sale Momale stated this while addressing newsmen in Kaduna following the mistakenly Nigeria Army Drones Strike that kills many people in tudun Biri village while celebrating Maulud and others sustained injuries.
Dr Momale explained that, government would continue to update the people of Kaduna State and work with the leadership of the affected communities as well as families in providing counseling, relief and other forms of assistance to ameliorate the pains and suffering that rose from the tragedy.
According to Dr Momale, Kaduna State government would engage with the Nigerian Armed Forces to review the circumstances that led to the tactical error, initiative mechanisms for redress and prevent similar recurrence.
“In recent years, villages surrounding the affected areas have been repeatedly targeted by Armed groups including bandits and insurgents”
Dr Sale Momale maintained that, the Nigerian Armed Forces in conjunction with other sister security agencies have work tirelessly with the government and the communities to ensure peace and security in the general areas which has allowed the citizens to live in relative peace.
“Notwithstanding, these efforts, the villages have continuously suffered periodic bandits attacks and insurgents attacks. It is under these difficult circumstances that the Nigerian Armed Forces aften carry out periodic air interdiction on bandits and insurgents targets especially in parts of Igabi and Birning Gwari local government areas of the state”
Dr Momale further said it was heartbreaking and regrettable that one of the interdiction intended to target bandits and insurgents on the night of Sunday 3rd December 2023 affected celebrating community while many others sustained life threatening injuries.
The Executive Vice Chairman appealed for calm at this trying moment, enjoined citizens to provide necessary support and assistance to the affected communities.
He stressed the need for people to collectively assist those in needs at the hospitals and prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed.
Dr Sale Momale emphasized the need for the community and religious leaders, corporate and society organisations, individuals and Media to support the the government in the maintenance of peace, law and order at all times.
