Federal University Dutse says the completion of the one point two billion naira internet broadband project by the ministry of communication and digital economy has eased learning, teaching and research among the students and staff of the institution.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Abdulkareem Sabo Mohammed disclosed this during a pre-convocation press briefing held at the university in Dutse, the jigawa state capital.

He explained that, the completion of the broadband project by the federal government is by far the biggest achievement of his administration in the ICT sector.

According to him, the university has recorded remarkable achievements in the area of academic, research and innovation.

He said, the national universities commission has ranked the institution as the overall best federal University in the North-West geopolitical zone in 2021.

Professor Abdulkareem Sabo Mohammed pointed out that, the university library has over twenty seven books and over five hundred thousand e-resources and journals in different fields.

The VC added that, the United States government has established an American window for the university to provide wide range of library services and access to literature and research data for their staff and students.
