Emir of Misau appoints New Sarkin Yaƙi, urges Youth to be productive.

The Emir of Misau, Alhaji Ahmed Sulaiman has urged youth to be steadfast and embrace one form of skills trade or the other towards becoming productive citizens.
Alhaji Ahmed Sulaiman made the call while receiving the family of Gwani Iliyasu Abdullahi Akuyam on a thank you visit over the confirmation of the Traditional title of Sarkin Yaƙin Misau on their son Architect Sadiq Ahmed Iliyasu.
The Emir who spoke through the Chief Protocol Officer of the Council and Magajin Rafin Misau, Alhaji Rufai Yamai, charged traditional title holders especially youth to respect their positions and be of service to the community for the development of the Emirate.
Speaking on behalf of the Gwani Iliyasu Abdullahi Akuyam family, Sardaunan Misau Alhaji Ahmed Iliyasu who extolled the virtues and foresight of the Emir in selecting their Son as the new Sarkin Yaƙi, promised continued support and loyalty to the emirate.
“We have seen your disposition to justice, fairness and equity since assumption to the throne and people from within and outside the Emirate are always speaking words of encomiums on your style of leadership, which is why we are praying for your reign to be long and peaceful”, Sardaunan Misau says.
Alhaji Ahmed Iliyasu who is the Family’s Patriarch, said his late father being the first Sarkin Yaƙi of Misau was dutiful and loyal to the emirate, and promised to continue on the same pedestal.
In a remark, the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Usman Bello Kumo, prayed God to give the Emir long life, good health and wisdom to continue to propel the emirate to greater height.
“I have nothing much to say but to align myself with the words of Gwani Iliyasu Abdullahi Akuyam Patriarch that May You live long in good health, sound in knowledge, wisdom and above all in service to the Creator”, Usman Kumo remarks.
Speaking on behalf of Friends, Architect Auwal Akko restated the resolve of the fourth Sarkin Yaƙi to justify the confidence reposed in him by working towards the development of the emirate.
Hundreds of family, friends and well wishers from within and outside the Emirate who witnessed the event prayed for wisdom and Allah’s guidance to the fourth Sarkin Yaƙi as he takes on the new role.
