State Advocacy Team seek Collaboration with National Human Right Commission on Gender Human Right and GBV.

The State Advocacy Team for Covid19RM Global Fund grant in Bauchi State has seek collaboration with National Human Right Commission in the areas of Aids, Tuberculosis, Malaria and Gender base Violence .
Speaking during the Visit the Chairman Network of People living with HIV/Aids of Nigeria NEPHWAN Bauchi State Chapter Abdullahi Ibrahim said the State Advocacy Team was established to advocate for improve Community System Strengthening and quality of care at the Facilities.
Abdullahi Ibrahim explain that the Global Fund grant for Covid19RM Project is been implemented in five local government areas of Bauchi, Darazo,Misau, Katagum and Tafawa Balewa.
He said the project is also working in the areas of Gender base Violence.
In a remark the State programme officer Makka Dauda Commended the National Human Right Commission for it’s support to the project and appeal for sustainance to achieve the set goals.
Responding the State Coordinator National Human Right Commission Bauchi Office Dala Yahcit said the Commission would continue to ensure Justice and Human Right for everybody .
Dala Yahcit assured the Commission readiness to always give it maximum support for the project to succeed.
She said the Commission has already established gender and Vulnerable groups department to accommodate all issues relating to HIV and other Vulnerable population.
” we are available and ready at all time, some of the emerging areas that are coming up now are people in the key population, those are people that are more Vulnerable to diseases so if the are denied some basic human right the could be further exposed them to diseases.
The Coordinator National Human Right Commission Bauchi Office said the Commission is training security personnel to have human face in their arrest, investigation and detention.
