We’ll be Fair and Just in the discharge of our assigned responsibilities -Kano Judicial commission of Inquiry

The Chairman of the Kano Judicial Commission of Inquiry Justice Faruk Lawal says the Commission would be Fair and Just while discharging it’s assigned responsibilities.

Justice Faruk Lawal disclosed this during the commissions first sitting ,held at court 3,Audu Bako Secretariat Kano.

He Noted that the Committee which was inaugurated By Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf was saddled with the responsibility of recovering Misappropriated Public Properties and Assets from May ,2015 to May,2023 .

Justice Faruk Lawal explained that the Committee has 12 members which includes

Justice Faruk Lawal, noted that the aimed and objectives of their fact findings is to get to the roots of properties sold without due processes and documents their findings, submit them to the Government with advises.

“We are to make recommendations to the Government for the recovery and restoration of any open spaces, prayer grounds, graveyards, historical or cultural sites or monuments and other open spaces as afr as practicable”.

” I make bold promises to the Government and the good people of the state that the Commission would discharge it’s assignment diligently and fairly and we will remained Committed to the Principles of honestly, fairness as we will not be swayed by primordial Interests of any kind”.

Justice Faruk Lawan Adamu, reminded that the they are not established to witch-hunt or prosecute anybody, rather, they are on a fact findings mission and at the end of their findings they will submit a set of recommendations to the State Government for possible implementation”,

He then Called on public with Information to present it to the Commission, Appealing to the Media to give them full supports on the Jobs.

“But let me advised that Complaints should be genuine as they would not attack anybody or allowed anybody to uses the Commission for personal unverified information”.

Barrister Nuraini Jimoh who spoke on behalf of Lawyers, promised to cooperate with the Commission, as they are aware that the Chairman of the Commission is a just and fair legal practitioner .
