Adamawa CAN visits Yola market victims, donated cash

Victims of the Yola burnt market have been urged to cooperate with the committee set up by the state government to assess losses in the market .

The newly elected Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Adamawa State branch, Reverend Danjuma Manzo made the call when he led other CAN officials who visited the market to commiserate with the victims of the fire incidence in the market.” I want to ask of you, especially the community here, I know that the g has Inaugurated a committee for investigation , I want to encourage you to consider the out come of this committee”

Reverend Doctor Danjuma Manzo Said he is of firm believe that whatever the outcome of the committee’s investigation is it must be in favor of the traders.

Reverend Manzo described the fire incident as as a calamity which affected all irrespective of any differences as the market host both Muslims and Christians who interact on daily basis to buy and sell from one another.

We’ve come as the Organization of the Christian Association of Nigeria Adamawa State branch to commiserate with you, especially the business men and women, the families that are affected as well as all those that are affected by this fire incident “.

He therefore on behalf of the Christian association of Nigeria Adamawa State chapter donated the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand naira to the victims and equally assured them of the association ‘s support at all times.

Earlier in their separate remarks, the chairman of Gamzaki traders union Yola South, Ali Kachalla and the Chairman , Rana ta Fito , Malam Ya’uba Usman appreciated the CAN Chairman and his entourage for the visit, a gesture they both described as a factor in fostering unity amongst the traders in the market.

As they wished him well in his tenure as the newly elected CAN Chairman, both Chairmen assured of continued unity and understanding between their members irrespective of religious affiliations for the development of the market and the state in its entirety.

The Adamawa State government has recently constituted an investigation committee as well as well as committee of experts to design and plan a modern structure that will replace the Yola South Market which was razed down by fire few weeks ago.
