Gov. Buni Attend Funeral Prayers of 34 Person’s Kill By Gunmen in Yobe

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has attended the funeral prayers of 34 persons who lost their lives as a result of attacks by Boko Haram in Mafa village of Tarmuwa Local Area.

The funeral prayers, led by the Chief Imam of Yobe Mosque and Islamic Centre, Ustaz Hudu Muhammad Yusuf, took place at the palace of the emir of Jajere, Alhaji Mai Hamza Buba Ibn Isa Mashio.

Represented by his Deputy, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, Governor Buni sympathised with the Emir of Jajere Alhaji Mai Buba Ibn Isa Mashio and the good people of Mafa Village over the unfortunate incident and said, the state government has already directed the state emergency management agency (SEMA), to provide shelter and food items to the displaced Community who happened to loss all their belongings during the attack.

Governor Buni had earlier donated the sum of 30 million naira to the families of the slain people and those who sustained injuries.

Buni representative explained that the Governor had paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Chief of Army staff in regards to the security situation.

He disclosed that the Governor appealed for the deployment of more security at the Mafa village, as it Links a border between Borno and Yobe states, to avoid further occurrences.

In his response, the emir of Jajere Alhaji Mai Hamza ibn Bubu Mashio thanked the Governor for the concern and called on all meaningful individuals to assist those who lost their breadwinners.

Special prayers were offered by Ustaz Hudu Muhammad for Allah to grant them Aljannatul Firdausi and for the injured a fast recovery to regain their possession.
