Empowering Nigerian Youth: Senator Barau Jibrin’s Foundation Offers Postgraduate Scholarships Abroad

The Deputy President of the Senate, Dr. Barau Jibrin has awarded postgraduate foreign scholarships in AI, Forensic, Robotics Sciences and cyber security to 70 students in Kano.

Speaking during the flagg off of distribution of admission letters to the beneficiaries in Kano, Senator Barau Jibrin said that the gesture was aimed at building and empowering the youth to secure the future and society.

He said the beneficiares includes 65 males and 5 females, who are going to study masters in artificial intelligence, cyber security, machine learning, and forensic sciences in United States, Europe, Canada and India.

“It is imperative to note that this programme is designed to showcase our unwavering community to the educational development of our youth, who we consider as the pillars of societal development.

“At the Jibrin Foundation, we give pride of place to the overall development of the youth, who are responsible for reshaping and energizing our society.

The Deputy President of the Senate noted that the foundation was building and empowering youths to meet the current global challenges, adding that this has nothing to do with politics but to make life better for them.

He assured Nigerians that there was light at the end of the tunnel despite the challenges being experienced today.

Barau Jibrin called on Nigerians to rally around president Bola Tinubu to resolve the current challenges being faced in the country.

” It is the practice across the world that, wherever there is a general challenge in a country people come together to contribute towards resolving it irrespective of their individual inclinations and differences.”

“the president loves us, he loves our region and is doing his best to ensure there is development here. We should support him to ensure we get the best we deserve.”

In his address, the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity they have and ensure they payback to the coming generations.

Represented by the State Minister for Education, Yusuf Sununu, called on politicians to emulate the deputy senate president.

He also called on to endeavour to blow his trumpet by letting the world know what he has been doing all these years as he has never seen anyone so committed to serving the people like him. .

According to him, despite the good intentions and huge investments of the Government in the education sector there are always gaps that require the active participation and contribution of all and sundry to get education on the right pedestal to drive the socio-economic development of society.

He said the partnership of stakeholders at different levels was very imperative particularly at a period of fast changing global realities and debilitating economic situation of the nation today.

“Senator Barau Jibrin’s efforts and contributions are therefore highly commendable and should be emulated by other politicians of his ranking.
