Joda Foundation for Education Support, Donates Books to School in Yobe.

A Non Governmental Organisation “Joda Foundation for Education Support” (JFES) has donated 100 books to Hafsat Gimba Ahmed Memorial Nursery and Primary School as part of its efforts to address educational challenges in the region.
Executive Director of JFES, Hassan Bomai Joda, emphasized the foundation’s mission to support pupils, schools, and caregivers, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds and orphans.
He highlighted the significant issue of out-of-school children in Yobe State, noting that it has the second highest number of children aged 5 to 11 not attending school in the country.
“Yobe State deserves more support from wealthy individuals and non-governmental organizations,” Bomai said, urging for increased investment in education.
The foundation, established six months ago, has enrolled over 100 pupils in various schools and provided vital learning materials, including books, uniforms, tables, chairs, boards, and computers, to improve learning activities.
“The only way to get rid of ignorance, insecurity, and banditry is to equip leaders of tomorrow with the needed attention,” Bomai emphasized, highlighting the crucial role education plays in addressing societal issues.
The Headmaster of the school, Mal Mohammed Ibrahim Jaji, expressed gratitude for JFES’s support and reiterated the school’s commitment to providing a quality education for its students.
The Director of Hafsat Gimba Ahmed Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Alh. Ba’abba Gimba Ahmed described the donation as a first-of-its-kind intervention and thanked JFES for its generous contribution.
He also commended the teachers for their dedication and encouraged them to continue building an educated society.
The donation of books to Hafsat Gimba Ahmed Memorial Nursery and Primary School represents a significant step forward in addressing the educational needs of children in Yobe and underscores the crucial role that non-governmental organizations play in supporting communities and creating a brighter future for the next generation.
