MEDIA PARLEY: Rural communities reaping benefits as promised by Gov Fintiri – George Kushi

Adamawa State government has affirmed that rural communities in the state are reaping the benefits of the present administration as promised by the state governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The principal Assistant to the governor on media and communication, George Kushi gave the indication during the third quarter media parley organized by his office to intimate the public on the achievements of the state government.

The Principal senior Assistant, George Kushi said while urban renewal projects have taken over peoples’ attention, only few noticed the life changing initiatives being implemented in the rural communities, hence the need for the media parley to provide insights on how Fintiri led administration’s is making impact throughout the state.

Kushi stated that there were indicators that the recorded achievements in areas of rural roads, medical facilities and electricity has yielded results in agricultural production as urban-rural migration has reduced drastically.

“since not so many that have had the opportunity to explore the country side, it is necessary to shift focus from the busy transformation in the urban centers to the hinterland and assess the progress happening there”

According to the PSA, the approval of seventy thousand Naira minimum wage, the Fintiri wallet which relieves thousands of households from hardship, rural road networks as well as transportation as inclusivity of women and youth remain a top priority of the government.

“we have medical facilities that have been established at an unprecedented pace , more especially the cottage hospitals across the state “

He therefore urged the people of the state to continue to support the government as it embark on more human capital development projects in the state.

In his remarks, the chief press secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikou stated that achievements recorded in areas of security, infrastructure, education, agriculture and human capital development under the Fintiri led administrations are testimonies that the governor is performing even beyond his predecessors.

” we were the rural state capital but things have now change in Adamawa State and things will continue to happen “

He emphasized that when the governor came on board it wasn’t accidental as he came along with the blue print on how to move the state forward and against all odds he has proven to break barriers and makes changes thereby bringing development to the state.

Also, the senior special assistant to the governor on public affairs Barrister Sunday wugira said areas touched by the governor as far as governance is concerned are unprecedented as education has improved in the state as a result of government’s commitment to providing quality education, payment of WAEC/NECO fees and scholarships to students.

While appreciating the government for providing additional primary healthcare centers across the state, Wugira explained that both security, agricultural development have been improved as well and farmers/herders clashes was also tackled.

During the media parley, there were questions and answers session that shed more lights on government achievements in the state.
