Bauchi LGA Commences Distribution of ITNs

Bauchi Local Government has commenced the distribution of Insecticide Treated Nets (ITNs) to curb the scourge of Malaria across one hundred and seventy four designated centres.
Speaking at the flagging off ceremony at Bayan Fada Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC), the Director Primary Health Care of the Local Council, Sulaiman Abdu Kirfi said over five hundred thousand household are to benefit from the distribution exercise across the LGA.
Alhaji Sulaiman Abdu enjoined husbands to allow their registered wives to come out with their cards and collect the ITNs at the designated centres.
The LGA Director PHC who explained that about two thousand personnel have been trained and deployed to their various places of assignments to ensure seem less exercise, solicited the support of the public to achieve success.
He expressed appreciation to the Bauchi State Government , Development Partners and other stakeholders for their investment in the health sector.
The Wife of Bauchi Local Government Caretaker Committee Chairman, Hajiya Fareeda Baba Musa called on the beneficiaries to always sleep inside the nets to prevent themselves from Malaria disease.
Radio Nigeria learnt that the state government will distribute 4.4 million insecticide treated mosquito nets to eligible households across state.
