Gombe State House of Assembly Calls for Rehabilitation of Gombe/ Nafada Federal Road

The Gombe state House of Assembly has called on the state Government, the Federal ministry of works through, and the state Ministry of Works to consider the reconstruction of the Gombe/ Nafada Federal government road which has been dilapidated for years.
The motion was brought on the floor of the house during plenary by the deputy speaker of the house and member representing Funakaye North, Sadam Bello.
According to him the road which linked Gombe and Yobe has been having potholes causing traffic and affecting economic activities.
The motion was forwarded to the house committee on works and transport to liaise with the two Ministries and report back in two weeks to the house.
Similarly, the house passed a resolution calling on the state government to take urgent measures on Anthrax disease, and frequent snatching and kidnapping of motorcycle riders in Gombe metropolis by hoodlums.
The motion brought through matters of urgent public importance by the member representing Kaltungo West Gabriel Galadima, said the disease which was reported in neighboring states is a communicable disease that can affect even human beings, calling on the state government to as a matter of urgency
embark on animal Vaccination and take other proactive measures.
whereas Mustapha Usman Hassan member representing Gombe South of Gombe local government, also drew the attention of the state government and security agents to intensify efforts in protecting the lives of citizens saying the issue of bike snatching is becoming rampant in the state.
