About forty teachers selected from six local government areas of Bauchi state have been trained on effective school management for enhanced productivity.
The four days training which was organized by Fahimta Women and Youth Development Initiative in collaboration with TY Danjuma Foundation has in attendance Quality Assurance and School Supporting Officers.
Briefing newsmen at the closing of the training in Bauchi, Executive Director Fahimta Women and Youth Development Initiative Hajiya Maryam Garba said the teachers were trained on effective curriculum delivery, classroom management, behavioral communication coaching and mentoring.
Hajiya Maryam Garba noted that the aim of the training was to complement government’s efforts to restore the lost glory of education from the grassroot levels.
She expressed concern over the decay in the education system and called on relevant stakeholders to do the needful to revive the sector for the overall development of the country.
In a remark, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of the TY Danjuma Foundation Mr Tersoo Akula commended the Resource Persons for doing justice to all topics discussed throughout the period of the training.
Mr Tersoo Akula enjoined the participants to put into use all the knowledge acquired and step it down to others who were not opportune to attend the training.
Some of the participants spoken to, Ibrahim Isa Wahu from Dambam and Paul Michael from Bauchi who said the training has widen their horizon promised to put into use the knowledge acquired.
