Adamawa state Government set to improve health care services.

Adamawa State government has launched community health influencers, promotion services, and state emergency maternal and child health intervention centers in the state.

This is to improve health care services to all and sundry, particularly mother’s and children.

While launching the center, the wife of Adamawa State governor, Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Umaru Fintri explained that a lot has been done by the present administration, including construction and renovation of primary health care facilities, provision of basic emergency drugs, and recruitment of staff.

Hajiya Lami Fintri pointed out that Adamawa State has joined the league of states that have prioritized improvement of maternal and child health care, urging the Agency to do all that is required to effectively implement the state emergency maternal and child health intervention center activities in the state.

She, therefore, applauded the effort of the partners, specifically UNICEF and others for their vital support towards the roll-out of CHIPS and other numerous material and child health interventions in the state.

The National Chairman of, Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Faisal Shuaib, represented by Aminu Muhammed assured the wife of the governor that the program will reach the people at the grassroots level.

Also speaking, the Adamawa State Executive Chairman, primary health care development agency, Dr. Suleiman Sa’idu Bashir explained that community health influencers, promotion, and services asset is to improve health care for all and sundry, particularly mothers and children, especially children between the ages of five.

Dr. Bashir further said the state emergency maternal and child health intervention center at the National level is aimed at addressing the high mortality in women and children.

The representative of UNICEF and other partners, who is the UNICEF Education Specialist Bauchi Office, Mairama Dikwa explained that UNICEF is overwhelmed to launch the program towards child mortality rate in Nigeria.

The Head of service in Girei local government Area of the state, Hamisu Ali Yaro assured the Agency of their support to reach people at the grassroots level.

There were presentations of bags containing health materials to women by the wife of the state governor.
