ATBUTH Conducts Baby of the Year Award Ceremony.

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, ATBUTH Bauchi has conducted 2021 baby of the year award ceremony.
The award ceremony which focused on four categories to include ages zero to six months, six to 12 months, 12 to 24 months and children born with defects.
Each of the categories 1st and 2nd winners were selected considering their weights, heights among other indicators.
In an interview with Radio Nigeria, the Head of Community Medicine Department, Dr. Abubakar Musa said the aim of the ceremony was to encourage women to imbibe Ante Natal Care, ANC attendance, Hospital based delivery, exclusive breastfeeding, complementary feeding and full doses of immuninisation for babies.
In separate responses, some mothers whose children won prices, Salomi Yusuf and Aishatu Muhammad Ibrahim said the secret behind healthy growth of their babies were exclusive breastfeeding, timely immunization for the children and ANC attendance as well as hospital based delivery.
