ATBUTH matriculates about 300 students

The College of Nursing Sciences of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, ATBUTH Bauchi has matriculated about 300 students in its three programmes with a call on them to be dedicated to guarantee their graduation from the college.
The programmes are Basic Nursing, National Diploma Nursing, and National Diploma Health Information Management.
Speaking to the students after taking the oath of allegiance, Chairman of the occasion Dr Yusuf Jibrin enjoined the matriculants to use the opportunity to be dedicated and diligent towards their studies to enable them serve the humanity effectively after their graduation from the college.
Dr Yusuf Jibrin who is also the Chief Medical Director ATBUTH, advised parents to support the education of their children to enable the college serve them better.
He noted that the college was committed to provide conducive teaching and learning environment for the students to enable them compete favourably with their counterparts across the country.
Earlier, Provost of the College Alhaji Adamu Ahmadu who congratulated the students for gaining admission charged them to shun all form of vices and examination malpractice because the college has zero tolerance to all forms of sharp practices.
Adamu Ahmadu represented by his Deputy Mr Ibrahim Maikudi said efforts are being intensified to provide adequate infrastructure such as classes, males and females hostels as well as office accommodation to enhance teaching and learning.
In a goodwill message, representative of the state ministry of health called on the management of the college to establish skills acquisition centre for the students to acquire entrepreneurial skills before graduation.
High point of the event was the oath of the allegiance administered by the college’s lawyer.
