Bala Mohammed moves to End Sayawa Chiefdom Tussle, constitutes Committee.

Governor Bala of Bauchi State has inaugurated a committee to suggest ways for the actualization of Sayawa Chiefdom.

The committee to be headed by Ambassador Jibrin Baba Chinade is to review and make recommendations on the earlier reports submitted by a number of white paper committees constituted by previous administrations in attempts to establish the Chiefdom.

Inaugurating the committee in Government House Bauchi, Governor Bala Mohammed said they expected to propose modalities and legal framework for successful establishment of the chiefdom.

Part of the committee’s terms of reference was also to proffer solution to the controvercy surrounding the most suitable location for headquarters of the sayawa traditional title..

While expressing confidence that the move will bring to an end the lingering issue, Bala Mohammed called on the committee to live up to the responsibility.

Speaking on behalf of the committee, the Chairman Ambassador Jibrin Baba Chinade assured to justify the confidence reposed in them.

He therefore called for the support and cooperation from all relevant stakeholders to enable them succeed.

Radio Nigeria learnt that the previous administration of Malam Isa Yuguda has proposed Marti in Tafawa Balewa local government area as the headquarters of the chiefdom but the move was opposed by most of the stakeholders.
