BAMBA Elects New Executives

Bauchi Modern Barbers Association, BAMBA has elected new executives to run its affairs for the period of four years.
Announcing the results the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Rufa’i Gidan Waya said Jamilu Sulaiman Haske was elected as Chairman with seventy nine votes defeating two contenders Abubakar Garba Isa and Aliyu Abubakar who scored twenty nine and twenty one respectively.
The electoral committee Chairman informed that Mr. Abel James Abah was elected as Vice Chairman with seventy nine votes defeating his opponent Abdul’Aziz Danjuma Garu who secured fifty six votes.
He explained that other contestants were returned unopposed include Rufai Sulaiman Secretary, Abubakar Abubakar Manager Treasurer, Rilwanu Ibrahim Financial Secretary, Sa’adu Jafar PRO 1, Hamza Ibrahim PRO 2.
The Chairman Electoral Committee added that others were Ibrahim Hassan Auditor, Organizing Secretary, Murtala Muhammad Information Office, Yusuf Garba Welfare Officer and Alkasim Soja Discipline Officer.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman of BAMBA Jamilu Sulaiman Haske who expressed appreciation to members of the association, the electoral committee and othe contenders for their resilience and promised to be just and fair to all irrespective of affiliations.
Also speaking, some of the invited observers expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election and commended members of the association for exhibiting high sense of maturity which made the process rancour free.
