BASHCMA Commences Payment of April 2022 Capitation Funds.

Bauchi State Health Contributory Management Agency (BASHCMA) has commenced the payment of April 2022 capitation to 323 Primary Health Care Centers, twenty General/Cottage Hospitals and other Health Facilities across the State.

The Executive Secretary of Dr. Mansur Dada who made this known on Tuesday 5th April 2022 while giving an update in his Office, said this followed the successful payment of capitation fund for March this year.

Dr. Dada said the payment was under the federal government’s Basic Health Care Provision Fund, (BHCPF) Saving One Million Lives (SOMLs) programmes and USAID ICHSSA 4 Project.

The Executive Secretary explained that 43,676 enrollees benefited from 323 Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs), 2000 enrollees from General/Cottage Hospitals while 707 enrollees benefited from other Health Facilities across 20 Local Government areas in the State.

Dr. Mansur Dada revealed that this was the tenth set of capitation to PHCC for BHCPF Primary Service, sixth set of capitation to General and Cottage Hospitals from SOMLs and first set of capitation to other OVC Facilities for primary service.

The Executive Secretary pointed out that the sum of N570 is being paid every month per registered enrollee to a Health Facility adding that the exercise commenced on Thursday 31st March 2022 and is expected to last up to Friday 8th April 2022.
