Bauchi Block Makers Association of Nigeria pledges commitment to produce quality blocks.

Bauchi State Chapter of Block Makers Association of Nigeria in collaboration with Standard Organization of Nigeria SON has organized a sensitization programme for its members towards ensuring quality production of blocks to avert building collapsed.
Speaking after commencement of the programme, Chairman of the association Alhaji Abdullahi Abba Jibrin who expressed concern how all problems of building collapsed are being labeled against them said there are other stakeholders that play vital role in building process.
Abdullahi Abba noted that stakeholders like Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Cement Manufacturers and Developers among others should also be blamed for all collapsed considering their role in the building industry.
He also said members of the association contribute significantly towards job creation among youth in the state hence the need for the state government to support them boost their operation and produce quality products that would stand the test of the time.
The Chairman of the association also appealed to the state government to direct all construction firms in the state to buy blocks from his members to boost the economy of the state.
On his part, team leader of the Standard Organization of Nigeria SON to the meeting, Alhaji Muhammad Muhammad Chinade who commended members of the block makers for showing interest to abide by the laid down standard said they would not hesitate to support them to produce quality blocks that would stand the test of time.
In a remark, representative of the Nigeria Social Investment Trust Fund NSITF Adamu Kabiru encouraged members of the block makers to register with the Fund to settle their hospital bills in the event any member sustain injuries at the course of their operations.
