Bauchi Education Summit: Experts Present Tip for Quality Education

Resources Persons at the 2023 Bauchi State Education Summit have stressed the need for a strong partnership among the State Ministry of Education and Development Partners towards improving the standard of education in the state.

They also advocated for establishment of State Education Trust Fund to ensure effective mobilization of the required resources towards proper planning and implementation of actionable education development initiatives.

Some of them, the Vice Chancellor Federal University Kashere Prof. Umaru Pate and former Vice Chancellor Federal University Gasua Prof. Andrew Haruna said Public Private Partnership often contributed to provision of access to quality education hence the need for the state government to key into the system.

They also suggested a strong collaboration among the State Ministry of Education, Universities and Polytechnics in areas of mentoring and vocational training to build the capacity of teachers and students.

Also Speaking, the representative of a nongovernmental organization, Network Connected to Marginalized Communities Zaliha Lawan and the State Chairman Tsangaya Teachers Association AlarammYa’u Dauduwo stressed that integration of Tsangaya Education into the formal system of learning would encourage the enrollment of more pupils into schools.

Other participants who make recommendations commended Governor Bala Mohammed led administration for the commitment to reposition the education sector.
