Bauchi Governor calls for adequate funding in rebuilding North East region ravaged by insurgency.

Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi State has called for adequate finding in rebuilding the North East region ravaged by insecurity.
Bala Muhammad made the call while receiving a federal government and African Development Bank delegation on a courtesy call at Government House Bauchi.
Represented by his Deputy senator Baba Tela the governor said due to the activities of insurgents the region was plagued with high level of poverty, unemployment and poor basic social amenities hence the need for more funding to the challenges.
He said his administration has developed a five year strategic development plan cutting across all sectors the economy with the objective of transforming the state into the leading economy in the sub region.
The Governor appreciated the federal government and African Development Bank for addressing some of the devastating impacts of insurgency especially in the areas of poverty in the North East.
Earlier the Task Team leader Mr Sifuma John said they were in the state for a mid term review meeting and to inspect the progress of work being executed by the federal government and African Development Bank in the areas of education, health and empowerment in the state.
