Bauchi Govt Commends USAID State2State Activity In The State.

Bauchi State Government has commended USAID funded State Accountability, Transparency and Effectiveness (State2State) Activity for conducting a three-day high level capacity building Workshop on Public Finance Management, for the state’s public servants.

The State Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Aminu Hammayo made the commendation at the end of the training in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

Aminu Hammayo said the training had added to their knowledge of prudent financial management stating that USAID State2State Activity would continue to be remembered for its numerous supports to the state even after the project.

He assured the state government’s readiness to continue to collaborate with donour partners to ensure effective service delivery especially in the areas of financial management.

Also speaking, the State Commissioner of Finance, Modibbo Abdulkadir Ahmed said the training would go a long way in changing the narrative by blocking leakages in the management of public funds.

He expressed satisfaction that the training had witnessed over ninety eight percent participation of the invited persons.

Earlier, the Deputy Chief of Party, State2State Activity, Mr John Onyeukwu expressed optimism that the workshop would engender better understanding of principles and practice of public financial management and also exposes participants to appreciate the role of good leadership in an accountable, transparent and efficient way.
