Bauchi Govt To Sell Cooking Stoves At Subsidised Rate – Commissioner

Bauchi State Government has approved over four Million Naira for the procurement of efficient Cooking Stoves and charcoal Briquette for sale to the less privileged at a subsidized price.
This is part of measure to tackle deforestation, flooding and converting Climate Change in the State.
The state commissioner of Housing and Environment, Hamisu Mu’azu Shira stated this at a news briefing in Bauchi.
Hamisu Mu’azu Shira said the cooking stove were affordable, environmental friendly and locally produced.
According to Hamisu Muazu Shira, the state Government has subsidized sixty percent of the original price of the stoves and would be made Available to ministries, departments and agencies.
