Bauchi state government is to partner Centre for Management Development CMD for the training and retraining of civil servants to become responsive and result oriented.
The state Head of Civil Service Alh Yahuza Adamu Haruna who gave the indication when he granted audience to the Director General of the centre in his office said systematic approach would be adopted to train the civil servants of effective implementation of policies and programmes.
Alh Yahuza Adamu said already governor Bala Muhammad has approved for the training of civil servants selected from 35 Ministries, Departments and Agencies, tagged, Push Bauchi State Civil Service..
He explained the the Governor has also approved for the total renovation and roads rehabilitation of the state’s secretariat as part of effort to provide conducive working environment for civil servants.
The Head of the Civil Service appreciated the Centre for indicating interest to train the state’s civil servants and assured readiness to provide logistic and moral supports whenever the need arises.
Earlier the CMD Director General Mr Bitrus Chinoka said the centre since its establishment in 1973 has trained over one hundred thousand personnel in the area of capacity building in both private and public sectors.
Mr Bitrus Chinoka who noted that capacity building training is capital intensive stressed the importance of the 36 States Governors of the federation to key into it for the development of the country.
