Bauchi State Gov’t. Inaugurates Committee for the 36th National Qur’anic Recitation Competition.

Over five hundred and fifty contingents from across the country are to take part in the 36th Edition of National Qur’anic Recitation Competition slated for Saturday eighteeth March 2022 in Bauchi State.

To this end, the State Government has inaugurated a Fifty Seven Member Local Organizing Committee towards successful conduct of the competition.

Inaugurating the committee, Governor Bala Mohammed who announced the donation of one hundred million naira charged them to mobilzed individuals and corporate organizations towards the realization the required one hundred and fifty million naira for procurement of prices and logistics.

Bala Mohammed expressed gratitude for the peaceful atmosphere that gives the state the opportunity to host the National Competition for the third time, noting that the exercise will encourage memorization of the Holy Qur’an among Muslims.

He called on the committee to be transparent in managing the funds provided.

Speaking on behalf of the committee, the Chairman and former state Grand Khadi, Abdullahi Yakubu Marafa who assured of their commitment noted that arrangements have reached advanced stage in that regard.

According to him, the contingents representing all states and the FCT comprised Tsangaya and Islamiyya Students, as well as individuals would compete on different categories

Abdullahi Marafa expressed readiness to work in synergy with all relevant bodies for the successful conduct of the exercise.
