Bauchi State Gov’t. Organizes Workshop for Political Office Holders, L.G Chairmen.

A three day workshop organized for members of Bauchi State Executive Council and Heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies has commenced with a call on the participants to avail themselves with the opportunity towards achieving a knowledge driven public service in the state.
The Exercise was aimed at guiding the participants on ethics public service and building their capacity towards effective service delivery.

Isiyaka Wunti reports that the workshop was organized by the state government in collaboration with a private body.
Declaring the exercise open, the state Governor Bala Mohammed, represented by his Deputy Senator Baba Tela said the move was aimed at producing a qualitative and result oriented workforce towards supporting government in formulation and implementation of policies and programmes.
Bala Mohammed who warns that his administration has zero tolerance on financial misconduct, noted that efforts are being made to improve the welfare of both active and retired Civil Servants.
Earlier the Secretary to the state government Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim charged the participants to reciprocate the gesture by being productive and committed to their respective assignments.
In a remark, one of the resource persons and Chairman of the private body Alh. Gambo Magaji who stressed the need for in-house training at various MDAs also called for punctuality in running government business.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, the Commissioner of information Dayyabu Chiroma and his counterparts of local governments and Chieftaincy Affairs Abdurrazak Nuhu Zaki expressed appreciation for the opportunity.
The workshop has intendance Commissioners, Special Advisers, Local Government Chairmen, Permanent Secretaries, and Heads of MDAs.
