Bauchi State Gov’t. Revokes Land Allocations in Lame Burra Forest.

Bauchi State Government has revoked all land allocations in Lame Burra forest pending the outcome of report by a committee constituted to look into the alleged land encroachment and illegal allocation in the area.

To this end, all forms of activities including farming are prohibited within the forest.

This was part of the State Executive Council Meeting presided over by Governor Bala Mohammed.

Briefing journalists after the meeting, the state Commissioner of Culture and Tourism Dr. Asama’u Ahmed Giade said the state government has received a report of illegal land allocations noting that measure would be taken to bring perpetrators to book.

Asama’u Ahmed Giade who said Government would not renege in tacking land related crises which often resulted to famers herders clashes and destruction of lives and properties.

She warns that anyone found guilty would face full wrath of the law to serve as deterrence to others.

Also, the commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning Aminu Hammayo said the council has delibrated on the report of the Presidential Ease of Doing Business Environmental Council which saw Bauchi as the fourth in the federation.

This shows that investors and private business operators are encouraged to take the advantage of the development.
