Bauchi State Govt’t. Decries Resurgence of Criminal Acts, Sworn In New High Court Judges.

Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi State wants the state judiciary to speed up in the dispensation of Justice to enable timely prosecution of all criminal cases across the state.

He made the call at the swearing in of three new high court judges in state government house.

Bala Muhammad who expressed dismay over the rising cases of criminal activities across the state, charged the new judges to compliment the ongoing efforts by the relevant authorities to bring the problem to an end.

According to him, the recent case of a six years old girl whose private part was amputated by some suspected rituals at Jama’are  local government in addition to resurgence of various forms of criminality across the state are the indication of the need for the Judiciary to take stringent measures that would address the menace.

Governor Bala Muhammad further explained that as a last hope of the common man, the judiciary must work towards protecting the interest of people especially the less privileged among them.

While assuring his administration continuous support to the Judiciary, the Governor called on the judges not to allow their personal interest to influence their official conduct.

Speaking on behalf of the newly sworn in judges, Justice Sa’adu Muhammad Sambuwal expressed readiness to be just and fair in the dispensation of Justice.

He appreciated the Governor’s commitment to ensure the state judiciary operate in a conducive environment for effective service delivery.
