Bauchi State Govt’t. Organizes Anti-Corruption Workshop For Political Office holders

In a bid to discourage Corruption in Public Service, Bauchi State Government has organized a two day Anti Corruption Workshop for political office holders and their aids.
The workshop with the theme Art and Practice of System Integrity and Value Governance as a Panacea to Curbing Corruption was a collaboration between the state government and Anti-Corruption Academy of Nigeria ACAN.
Speaking at the Opening of the Workshop, the State Governor Bala Muhammad said the move was also aimed at training the participants on their expected role of assisting the government in the Anti-Corruption crusade by blocking leakages in public service.
Bala Muhammad who said his administration has zero tolerance on corruption, maintained that over two thousand ghost workers were fished out including one hundred Medical Doctors who were receiving salaries without rendering service.
While calling on the participants to take advantage of the opportunity, the Governor said with the capacity building training, the government will not be business as usual
In his address the Provost of the Anti Corruption Academy of Nigeria ACAN Shola Akinrinmade who commended the state government for partnering with academy said the menace can be addressed through constant sensitization and training of public office holders.
Participants at the workshop include Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and other political appointees
