BAUCHI STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY APPROVES ABOUT SEVENTY BILLION NAIRA IN THE REVIEWED TWENTY TWENTY LOCAL COUNCIL BUDGET.

Bauchi State House of Assembly has approved over sixty Eight point four billion naira in the reviewed 2020 consolidated local councils proposed budget in the state.

Similarly the house also passed the revised 2020 proposed local government budget into law.

The Development followed the adoption of recommendations by the joint house committees on appropriation and local government affairs.

Speaking with newsmen the Deputy Chairman Local Government Affairs Committee Bakoji Aliyu Bobo noted that the reviewed LGAs budget was estimated to mainly deals with capital and recurrent expenditures.

Bakoji Aliyu Bobo who is also the member representing Ciroma Constituency, in Misau local government said the joint committees recommended that the Ministry for Local Government and chieftaincy Affairs should ensure fairness in terms of allocations of developmental projects across the twenty local government areas of the state.

He further stated that the two committees recommendation on capital and recurrent expenditures ratio of 2021 budget estimates of the local councils be at fifty five percent and forty five percent in line with priority of the present administration.
