Bauchi state House of Assembly has called on the State government to investigate the artificial scarcity of petroleum products in the state capital.
The House observed with dismay the scarcity of the products long queues in some filling stations which subjected people of the State into untold hardship despite federal government announcement that the petroleum is available nationwide.
The call came under matters of urgent public importance moved by the Member representing Katagum constituency, Mukhtar Sulaiman during plenary precised over by the deputy speaker Danlami Ahmad Kawule.
Mukhtar Sulaiman expressed concern on how the artificial fuel scarcity hit the state that led long queues in filling stations while others are closed.
In a contribution a Member representing Bogoro constituency Musa Wakili Nakwada and his Shira counterpart Bello Muazu said the motion is timely considering that farmers were busy transporting their farm produce from farms.
They alleged that some dealers hoard the products delieveretly to subject people into hardship as the neighbouring plateau do not experience the problem and called on government to investigate the situation.
The House adjourned it setting to 15th November, twenty twenty one.
