Bauchi State House Assembly has mandated its committees on Judiciary and public service to commence investigate into the recent recruitment and upgrade of 18 staff without following due.
Similarly, the house also urged the judicial arm to withhold the result of staff who recently sat for promotional examination to be posted as area court judges.
This came under matters of urgent public importance moved by Member representing Dambam, Dagauda, Jamal constituency, Baballe Abubakar.
Baballe Abubakar alleged that the Judiciary did not follow due process nor ensured transparency during the upgrade of its staff.
The lawmaker noted that state character principle must be followed where necessary and ensure fair representation from the six emirates of the state.
Still during the plenary a bill to amend Bill and Melinda Gate Collage of Health Technology Ningi has passed into law and a bill to repeal the Bauchi state separation of accounts for the management of funds of the Bauchi state Judiciary has also passed second reading.
