BAUCHI: Youths Coalition demands provision of sites for the construction of Federal Higher Institutions.

A Coalition of Bauchi State Youth and Student Groups wants the State Government to provide sites for the construction of the newly approved Federal Higher Educational Institutions in the State
The Institutions are, Federal University of Health, Nutrition and Medical Sciences, Azare Katagum Local Government, Federal College of Education Jama’are and Federal Technical College Misau.
Chairman of the Coalition Umar Lauya Hardawa who made the appeal while briefing newsmen in Bauchi described education as a panacea in eradicating youth restiveness, and other social vices among them.
He said provision of the sites for the construction of the institutions is the right of the state government hence the for urgent attention.
The Chairman further urged Governor Bala Mohammed to direct the commissioners of Land and Survey and that of Education to provide all necessary requisites for the commencement of construction of the institutions as some neighboring states like Gombe, Plateau and Jigawa have already started academic activities in their institutions that were approved at the same time.
Umar Hardawa said the delay in allocating the land for the take-off of the institutions has resulted to their exclusion in the 2022 budget.
He used the medium to remind the state government to live up to its expectations by providing jobs and educational opportunities to its populace for a prosperous society.
