The Director General of the National youth service Corps, NYSC Brigadier General Shu’aibu Ibrahim has Charged the Bacth C Stream 1 Corps members to be security conscious at all times while at their places of Primary Assignment.
General Shu’aibu Ibrahim stated this during the closing Ceremony of Orientation Course held at the Parmanent orientation camp Kusalla Dam in Karaye local government area of Kano state.
The Director General who was Represented by the State Coordinator of the Scheme Hajiya A’isha Tata Mohammad enjoined the Corps members to perform their assigned duties with diligence and be guided by the provisions of the NYSC act and Bye laws as well their Place of Primary Assignment’s rule and regulations.
He implored them to integrate themselves into their host Communities and respect their cultural values.
The Director General of the NYSC warned the Corps members against unauthorized and night journeys, stressing that Corps members should ensure that they board vehicles at approved motor Parks.
“I urge you to avoid using the social media for ethic jingoism ,rumour ,peddlling and the promotion of hatred, instead your Activities online should be targeted at self – improved as well as promotion of the unity,peace and prosperity of our dear Nation”
Brigadier General Shu’aibu Ibrahim commended Federal Government’s effort in supporting the scheme.
Some of the Corps members posted to the state who spoke to Radio Nigeria, Ogubo Fojoh from and Khadijah Sabo Dikko from Imo and Nassarawa states respectively, expressed happiness and pledged to contribute their quota towards unity and development of the nation.
