Border Communities in Bauchi and Jigawa Urges to leave in peace.

Border communities between Bauchi and Jigawa state have been urged to leave in peace and shun anything capable of causing chaos among them.

The Chairman Bauchi State Boundary Commission Muhammad Auwal Jatau made the call at a town hall meeting with affected communities in kafin Hausa Local Government Area of Jigawa state.

Muhammad Jatau who is also the Deputy Governor of Bauchi State said the two states are working together to ensure amicable resolution of border conflict with communities from Itas Gadau and kafin Hausa.

Muhammad Jatau represented by his Special Assistant on Boundary Matters Ahmad Garba appreciated the traditional and community leaders of the two states for the support toward tackling border dispute in their respective areas.

The representative of the Director General National Boundary Commission Rayyanu Muhammad Zaidu said the town hall meeting is key towards resolving the lingering border conflict between communities of Kafin Hausa and Itas Gadau Local Government Areas.

Speaking on behalf of Jigawa State the Chairman Kafin Hausa Local Government Area Muhammad Saminu Yahaya commended Bauchi State Government for doing everything possible to proffer lasting solutions to the lingering border dispute in the affected communities.
