Governor Zulum addressing Corps members at their temporary orientation camp in Maiduguri.

The Borno state government has donated the sum of 36.4 million naira to the newly posted National Youth Service Corps NYSC members in the state.
Governor Babagana Zulum announced the donation when he visited the Corps members at their temporary orientation camp in Maiduguri.
He declared that each of the 1,215 Corps members will recieved thirty thousand naira as palliatives in addition to food items.
The Governor also allocated one hundred bags of rice, ten cows, ten bags of 100 kilograms of beans, and ten gallons of cooking oil for special meal to be prepared for the corps members throughout the three weeks orientation course.
“We want to extend palliatives to members of the National Youth Service Corps. Each one of you will receive the sum of N30,000, that amount will be credited to your accounts as soon as your bank details are provided to me”, Zulum said.
Governor Zulum charged them to adhere to camp rules and regulations by living peacefully among themselves and engaging in acts that will foster peace in the country.
“I want you to be dedicated and loyal to constituted authorities. Make friends in this part of the country so that together we can build a prosperous Nigeria with sustainable economic growth and development”, Governor Zulum urged.
He expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for improving the security situation in the State which informed the return of orientation activities in Maiduguri.
Correspondent Dauda Iliya reports that the NYSC orientation camp was reopened in Maiduguri on 22nd of August, 2023 after more that twelve years of closure.
