Borno state government has launched the distribution of Ramadan palliative to 34,000 vulnerable households in two local government areas of Maiduguri Metropolitan and Jere.

Alhaji Kadafur solicited the support of other well spirited individuals to continue render assistance to the less privilege in the society in order to give them sense of belonging.

He charged the distribution committee to render selfless service and ensure judicious utilisation of the items.

The acting Governor also implore the beneficiaries not to sell the food items but to improve the well-being of their families.

Chairman palliative committee Alhaji Bukar Talba said each household would receive 25kg of rice and cartons of spaghetti.

Two of the beneficiaries, Fatima Mustapha and Hajja Hauwa Sulieman all from Mafoni ward commended all those that provided the palliative and the state government for their continued assistance particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
