BORNO STATE POLICE COMMAND DEPLOYS MASSIVE PERSONNEL AHEAD OF THE YULITIDE…ASSURES RESIDENTS OF ADEQUATE SECURITY.

Borno state Commissioner of Police Abdu Umar has directed the massive deployment of personnel across the state and places of worship to ensure hitch free Christmas and New year celebrations. 

In a statement by Police public relations officer  ASP Sani Shatambaya says the Police in collaboration with other security agencies will intensify patrols and raid criminal hideouts to ensure peaceful celebrations.

It warned motorists and Keke Napep operators to adhere to all traffic rules and regulations, eschew all forms of recklessness and drug abuse, adding that the sales and use of  knock-outs and fireworks is still in force

The state adds that personnel deployed for this critical assignment are under strict instruction of the Commissioner of Police to be civil but firm in the discharge of their duties. 

CP Abdu Umar also reminded members of the public that the curfew which starts from 11pm is still in force, as such vehicular movement during curfew hours is prohibited.

While assuring worshippers of their safety, the Commissioner advises parents and guardians to take proper care of their children and be security conscious during the yuletide.
