Communal Clash: Bauchi State Gov’t. Imposes 24 Hours Curfew in two Communities.

Bauchi State Government has imposed twenty four hour curfew in Gudun Sayawa and Gudun Hausawa communities outskirts of the state metropolis.

This followed a communal clash between members of the affected areas that resulted to killing of one person and disruption of over twenty houses and properties worth millions of naira.

Speaking during an assessment visit, the State Governor Bala Mohammed expressed displeasure over the incident and called for full investigations with a view to fishing out and brought the perpetrators to book.

According to him, the State Government would not allow actions of bad elements in the society to disrupt the existing peace being enjoyed across the state.

While simpathizing with families of deceased and other victims, the Governor warns that anyone found guilty by the ongoing investigations would face full wrath of the law to serve as deterrent to others.

Also speaking the state commissioner of Police Umar Sanda said the restriction of movement was to give the security personnel the opportunity to intensify operations with a view restore normalcy in the areas.

Our Correspondent Isiyaka Ismail Wunti reports that last week, similar crisis was reported among the troubled communities which claimed two lives and sets many houses ablaze.
