Corps Member in Bauchi Executes Personal Community Development Service.

About sixteen youth in Bauchi metropolis have undergone two-weeks training on Electrical Installation with a view to making them self-reliant.

The training was organized by a serving corps member Yusuf Isah Mazai as part of personal community development service under the National Youth Service Scheme.

Speaking at the end of the training at Transition Company of Nigeria TCN Office Bauchi, the NYSC State Coordinator Namadi Abubakar who appreciated Yusuf Isah Mazai for the initiative called on other corps members across the country to emulate such gesture for the development of their host communities.

Namadi Abubakar represented by the Assistant Director Community Development Service CDS Mrs. Gbemisola Salami described the gesture as timely considering the rate of unemployment in the country.

She charged youth to avail themselves the opportunity of such training to improve their economic status.

On his part, the project initiator Yusuf Isa Mazai charged the beneficiaries to use the knowledge acquired in order to make themselves financially stable.

Yusuf Mazai thanked the management of NYSC and Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN for giving him the platform to actualize the set objectives and called on other corps members to emulate.

In a goodwill message, the representative of Transmission Company of Nigeria TCN Bauchi, Engineer Muhammad Musa commended the corps member for the initiative and wished him success in future endeavors.

Some of the beneficiaries interviewed, Abdulsalam Yunusa, Haruna Adamu, Ibrahim Dauda and Sadiq Ismail expressed gratitude to the initiator for the opportunity given them and promised to utilize the knowledge acquired.

The occasion had in attendance NYSC officials, corps members, TCN representatives among others.

Highlights of the occasion were presentation of certificates, and donation of Nigeria and TCN flags to the company, among others.
