The Nigerian Army says it is always ready and willing to accept members of the society willing to cooperate and contribute to the successful defeat of the enemies of the state.
The new Commander, Sector 2 Joint Task Force, Operation Hadin Kai of the Nigerian Army, Major General Koko Isoni made this known while receiving a delegation of journalist, led by the state council Chairman Rajab Mohammed in Damaturu.
He explained that one of the pillars of the Chief of Army Staff is the development of a good relationship with agencies in the fight against all forms of criminality.
He called on all working journalist in the state to embrace the habit of balancing their reports as the sector is desirous of fairly balanced reportage.
In his address, the Chairman NUJ Yobe State Council, Comrade Rajab Mohammed congratulated the new Commander and solicited for an improved harmonious working relationship with the military in order to enhance proper information dissemination for the promotion of peaceful coexistence in the Northeast region.
He urged the Commander to identify ways of building the capacity of the State’s Defense Correspondents in order to improve productivity and reportage.
The NUJ team comprises of the NUJ Executives, Defense Correspondents, NAWOJ, Officials of the 13 chapels and others.
