President Muhammadu Buhari has described the death of one of the longest serving traditional rulers in Africa, Emir of Jama’are, Ahmad Muhammadu Wabi III, as the end of an era.
In a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity,
Garba Shehu, President Buhari said the demise of Emir Ahmad Muhammadu Wabi III, who had ruled for fifty years is a great loss not only to Bauchi State but also the entire country.
President Buhari said the late Emir, who was laid to rest yesterday, had contributed enormously to peaceful coexistence of his Emirate, the state and the country as a whole.
According to the President, the late Emir was a decent man who had spent fifty years serving his people without any controversy trailing his remarkable reign.
The President extended his heartfelt sympathy to the family, the Jama’are Emirate Council, the government and the entire people of Bauchi State over the death of the great traditional ruler.
He prayed Allah to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljanna.
