Drowning: 80-year man found in a well after missing for six days

The drowning of an 80 year old man in a well, left residents of Sabon Sara Gwale local government area Kano, in a state of shock and grief.
The public relations officer, Kano state fire service Saminu Yusif Abdullahi confirmed the incident to newsmen in Kano.
According to him, the old man Rabi’u, popularly known as Na Allah Sirika has gone missing for six days.
He highlighted that, the man lives alone in his house, and all efforts to trace his whereabouts proved abortive.Saying that,some of his neighbours decided to check every nook and cranny within the building.
The public relations officer pointed out that,the search team succeeded in breaking into the house, where his lifeless body was found floating on water.
Saminu Yusif noted that, on recieving information about the tragedy, a rescue team was quickly mobilized to the scene, where the body was evacuated unconcious and later confirmed dead by health officials.
He noted that, the deceased was handed over to the ward head of Sabon Sara, Muhammad Salisu Iman.
The public relations officer stressed that, investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding Malam Rabi’us death.
