The Emir of Bauchi Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu has appreciated the State government for the ongoing efforts to reposition the traditional institutions across the state.
The Emir made the commendation when he led traditional tittle holders for a special Sallah homage to Governor Bala Mohammed in Government House Bauchi.
Alh. Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu said the State Government commitment to upgrade palaces of Emirs and District Heads as well as providing them with brand new vehicles is a step to restore the lost glory of the traditional institutions.
While congratulating the Governor for the successful Sallah celebration, the Emir assured him on their determination to complement the effort towards ensuring peaceful coexistence and economic development in the state.
The State, Governor Bala Mohammed who commended the Emir for the homage urged him and members of the Emirate Council to maintain the spirit.
Bala Mohammed expressed appreciation for the peaceful conduct of the Durbar procession and pledged to sustain the support in that direction.
Our Correspondent Isiyaka Ismail Wunti reports that after the homage, the traditional tittle holders wearing colourful attires rode on horseback from Government House to the palace of Emir of Bauchi.
