Eleven Boards under the Education Sector in Bauchi State inaugurated.

Boards of Parastatals, gencies and commissions inaugurated under the education sector in Bauchi State have been charged to put up a strategy towards finding lasting solution to the lingering crisis in the sector.

The State Commissioner Ministry of Education Dr Aliyu Usman Tilde gave the charge while inaugurating eleven boards under the ministry at the state University Yuli campus.

Dr Aliyu Tilde said the sector is very wide with so many challenges hence the need for them to swing into action toward uplifting the sector to global standard.

He said with the inauguration, the boards now have full powers to conduct their affairs without interference from the ministry as its role is  only supervisory and representation.

Earlier the Acting Permanent Secretary Ministry of  Education Sule Adamu Madara who appreciated the effort of the Governor in improving the education sector, said the constitution of the board will turn around the negative trend in education.


Sule Madara stressed the need for adequate funding of the sector to tackle the issue of out of school children to avoid any devastating effect.Speaking on behalf of the entire boards, Chairman governing council State University Gadau Professor Ango Abdullahi appreciated Governor Bala Muhammad for the honor done them and promised to work towards the betterment of the children’s future.


The boards constituted are Teachers Service Commission with Musa Wadata as Chairman, Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic Aminu Ahmad, Bauchi State University Professor Ango Abdullahi, Aminu Saleh College of Education Azare Senator Adamu Gumba, Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education Kangere Alhaji Adamu Muhammad and Agency for Mass Education Umar Babayo.


Others are Scholarship board Zakari Muhammad, Special Schools Management Board Asmau Pate, Agency for Nomadic Education Mamu Itas, AD Rufai College of Education Misau Barrister Al Mustafa Sulaiman and Library Board Adamu Yahaya.


With the inauguration, some of the boards have since held their inaugural meeting.
