The Federal Government has reaffirmed it’s determination in eradicating poverty among Nigerians and creating more job opportunities to the teeming population of the country.
The Minister of Trade and Investment Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite disclosed this when she lead a delegation on a formal visit to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at government house Kano.
She said inline with the eight points agenda of president Bola Ahmad Tinubu Administration,the ministry was working assiduously in ensuring that industries were being revived ,so that more job opportunities would be provided.
The Minister said the purpose of her visit to Kano was to asses the level of industrialization and gather Data on the challenges that needed urgent attention ,geared towards reviving the industrial development.
Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite maintained that the ministry was committed in ensuring that the export of value added products were being enhanced so that comparative advantages would be explored .
She reassured the commitment of the Tinubu led Administration in addressing enhancing food security, eradicating poverty, creating more job opportunities and improving industrialization.
in his remark Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf represented by the chief of staff Alhaji Shehu Wada Sagagi said his Administration was committed to enhancing small scale industry,
He said his Kano State was a commercial nerve center of Sub-Sahara Africa,He appealed for more support from the Federal Government with the aim of boosting commercial activities in the State.
earlier the commissioner for commerce Alhaji Abbas Sani Abbas said his ministry had gathered commercial data, with the aim of redesigning the commercial policy of the state.
