Fire Guts 4 Shops in Kano

Fire has destroyed properties worth millions of naira, in a morning fire outbreak at Airport Road,adjacent to France Road, in Fagge Local Government Area of the state.
This was contained in a statement, signed by the Public Relations Officer of the State Fire Service, Alhaji Saminu Yusif Abdullahi and made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano.
According to him, the fire destroyed four shops containing hospital equipments,car spare parts,and toilet wares.
“We received a distress call at about 09:06 a.m from Hamish Ahmed and we immediately sent our rescue team to the scene at about 09:13 a.m. to stop the fire from spreading to the other shops”
He said, investigation has commenced to ascertain the cause of the unfortunate incident.
The public relations officer advised residents to handle fire and electric appliances with care and report any incident to the nearest fire service office to through it’s 24hrs telephone numbers.
